Parent & Child Parking

Very much this. And getting a box of fish fingers as a sub instead of the fresh salmon you ordered can be a little tiresome.
But on the flip side, that guy getting salmon instead of fish fingers is winning :D . I don't mind the subs, normally it's common sense, and tbh my Mrs does get meat separate (although our food shop had easily gone up by 25% this year, but that's for a different thread). I did take both kids yesterday to little asda, but they were happy in the car so no need to be one of "those" people so I just used a normal spot. I agree they'd be just as useful further away, but even if I'm in my wife's fiesta, the spaces aren't exactly spacious, worse is someone has a ranger as they seem to be all the rage.

Slightly off topic I saw a dodge ram 1500 yesterday and it was comically massive. It was also a 5.7 hemi so I assume they were loaded  . Just googled what the 1500 meant and I've learned something new today.

I'm going to guess it's either payload capacity or it designates something like single cab/double cab/extended bay.

Payload.

Old people should be able to park nearest the entrance, and the younger progressively further away. Given how women lie about their age that should see the bints parking off site somewhere, or at least in some far corner ;)

Child and parent spaces are simply not legally enforcable. I always park at spots where I can't be fined legally (be it family or women bays, or wrong signage for loading areas or other illegal stuff) of it fits the job better than a normal parking spot...

Entitled? People with children feel they are entitled... **** off with your private parking bays, park like the rest of us, completely different situation than disabled people who actually need it. There is no law or regulation for family parking spots...

These days I can always park next to the entrance at the electric spots though because I can actually charge my car there :).

They are simply using the spaces for intended use, the ones who aren’t are the entitled ones. UK law and car seats has changes how small people are loaded in and out of cars. I don’t need to park close as I’m not a fat heffer so no skin off my nose but I see the detritus the UK has to offer society, just look at the recent PRIME supermarket fighting.

PS. They are not electric spots. They are charging bays.

It's sad how people don't understand a courtesy Vs a right. And feel answer against a group that get a courtesy to make things easier for them.
Maybe the poster above needs a lazy fat A hole spot near the shop doors.

Indeed, it’s so disappointing, pushes me to borderline anger and rage just engaging with these morons.

You are not Jim Carey in the Truman show!

I Have self knowledge, I always want to park as close as possible, first come first served. So yeah I guess you can call that lazy...
What pushes me to anger is people thinking a parking bay is intended for families instead of for everyone, you are not special if you put an child in the world.

Older people deserve those spots more than people with children aswell...

There are enough ridiculous rules, regulations and laws already, so if something is not in the law then don't be surprised people ingore such ''courtesy's''.

Let me guess, you think the earth is flat and freeman of the land principles?

It is intended for families says the owner of the land your choosing to park on and visit. They want to help people with young children, I really don't get why you cant comprehend that simple thing.
You are the one in the wrong and clearly are just one of those many people around these days that think the world owes them something and can't stand to see others have something they don't or can't have.

To sum up you sound like the sort of person that doesn't like disabled people getting ahead of others or free places. In fact you say as much as only the legality stops you. Good bye.

Assumptions all around.

But quite frankly I'm tired of conforming to ridiculous ideas of some people, and I think children should be discouraged rather than entitled to advantages.

You are correct that the owner of the land should have the say in this, in that case I agree.

I'm fairly confident child and parent spaces aren't installed to make parents or children feel special. They're there because removing a child from a seat, or removing a child seat (for the ones that clip to a push chair to make a pram) from the car does require more room.

I don't have children and even I understand that.
