I plan to build my next PC, for the first time. Which is silly considering I have been PC gaming for 30 years - and only really tinkered.
I have received great help here in the past with a potential new builds and then life challenges got in the way.
It will be used for a variety of games, but I specifically have Flight Simulator in mind which I know if very resource hungry - and have seen various posts about DLSS benefits (and DLSS3 with 4000 cards).
1440p with moderate settings would be good - when I have a decent GPU.
I will use my old GTX1660 super for a few months until I get funds and see if either the 4071 Ti's prices come down or maybe see if I can pick up a higher end 3000 deal.
Ideally I would like to play at 1440p, and to suit will look to get a new 27" monitor too if I can find a good deal.
Regarding storage I have 2 x 1TB Samsung 860 EVO SSD's, which seem fine. But I will buy a NVME for Windows.
Any help would be greatly appreciated so I can get an order off in the next couple of days.
I am very conscious even though I have watched build videos to death that I must not choose combinations might make the build more challenging
(I have in mind the case and cooler) so any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to give myself problems before I start.
For example - I was previously advised that there might be compatibility issues with the Prime board and the cooler, and Arctic (12 months ago) suggest I would need to remove the bottom cover of the pump
and they would send a revised version. But maybe the current cooler covers this.
And finally - I want to go down the intel CPU route.
My basket at OcUK:
I know I can get several items cheaper else where, so will have to shop around.
I have chosen the KF CPU so I can keep using my old machine and use integrated graphics to make sure the machine works before I move the GPU over.
The Prime was added through advice and due to it also having wifi (I have not got lan in the room of choice).
I have not read enough to justify the cost of jumping to DDR5, but would be open to advice assuming the cost is not too much excessive.
With SSD SN570 would I get much benefit in going to the 4th generation SN770 - for a £10 or so more ?
Thanks again.
