The disappearance of Nicola Bulley

Totally agree. Hit em where it hurts. Strip them of thier accounts. Permanently.

At some point this needs will start happening I'm sure. People doing ever more extreme stuff for views.

It must be horrible to have even the event in the media let alone be accused of it.
I had my Twitter account suspended permanently simply for saying "Elon Musk should fire himself into space"!

It's sadly the natural evolution of connecting large audiences with a proclivity for regularly watching the sort of content you might get on say ******** or uhh somewhat darker less accessible sites, monetary/'clout' incentives for providing said content and algorithms which then only provide you with that content to the point of being tunnel-visioned into nothing else.

Social media doesn't want to act as publishers/editors but that's untenable and they know it is because stuff like this is only going to bring the wrath of irritated masses who would rather not be assaulted on the street for views.

Edit: well should have expected it was going to be censored, but basically just violent content.

Pretty much identical to the actions of a close family member. Left the house in the middle of the night and walked into a river.

Same my mother's friend did the same but in a lake. My missus just cannot understand why she would leave two young children behind but we are all wired different after all.

I guess the police knew the information at hand all along with medical history and background and I can understand why they revealed that personal information to the public because it was all getting out of hand.

I have to admit I got hooked in by all the media frenzy but I guess it is just hard for the brain to accept that the most simple and morbid solution is actually the right one.

@Dis86 You were right all along. My apologies that sonar man was nothing but a fraud.

I really hope, that some great big greasy fat-cat lawyer with no mercy, acts on behalf of Paul Ansell, and drags all of the libellous tossers on social media straight to the cleaners, I really do.

Watching the things people have said about him, it’s awful - it’s like what the tabloid newspapers did to Christopher Jeffries.

It must be like having to deal with 2x hells at once: losing your partner, whilst the internet accuses you of killing her.

It’s been horrid to watch.

The media circus is mostly to blame for this. I haven't seen anything like that for years, now that they found the body i hope everyone can shut the hell up and move on. There was a similar woman killed under suspicious circumstances after going out horse riding a couple of years ago and no one hardly noticed and the MSM didn't make a huge hoohaa about it.

Grow up FFS!
Yeah, I couldn't quite understand that either.
we are all wired different after all.
the brain to accept that the most simple and morbid solution is actually the right one.
No, as you said, we're all wired differently, so I guess 'for some people's brains...' is more accurate. I think for many of us it was quite easy to accept the most likely outcome from the beginning.
If you're going to call me an idiot then at least give an example of my nonsense?
Personally, I think you're last statement that your original post's point was still valid is perhaps the biggest nonsense.

Police: "We think, based on what we know, is that she went in the river and we'll focus our efforts on that"
BUK: "They shouldn't do that! There's no evidence it happened!"
Police: "We've found her body* in the river :(" (* we assume her body)
BUK: "I don't care, they shouldn't have assumed based on things they know and should have treated all possibilities equally!"

You honestly still believe that?
You might think this is just a silly comment, but it's not. You're (BUK I mean) essentially suggesting, by saying the likelihood of each possibility not playing into how much effort they put into investigating each possibility that they spend as much time looking into aliens abducting her as her falling into the river? Ridiculous.

What I was referring to by we are all wired differently is that some people cannot accept that a women would kill herself and leave her young children behind not that she went in the river. I still do not believe that it was an accident after the information the police gave in the last few days. She topped herself.

There will be evidence of that once they do the autopsy.

On Nicola's Facebook page there are photos of the dog playing in the river. So there is a good chance she could have got in the river to get the dog.
