How can you say that when Lancashire police is literally being investigated for how they handled the investigation?

Aye. And he most certainly did give raise to false hope through their claims and their "track record". He could have just joined and helped as much as he felt he could volunteer out for free. But no, for many days, all we were hearing and seeing was the "Expert" said this and that, and that the whole search should pivot to their expertise and from what they have done for the search.

Yeah that diver guy seems like a total tool. Bigging himself up and then dramatically leaving the search again while coming up with all sorts of his own theories about being pushed from behind etc. Did nothing but add to the media & social media circus. And has now been proved to be far less competent than he claimed.
 
If he'd truly wanted to help he could have got in touch with the police, offered his services and got on with the job (as I'm sure others probably have). Instead he stuck his mug in front of every camera he could find before, during and after his 5 minutes of looking whilst playing his own crap version of Poirot that helped no one and stoked up the idiot crew as this 'expert' must be telling the truth cos he knows it all!!

Still he'll do another lap or two of the Sun, TalkTV, GBNews looney circuit to cover his arse a bit before he disappears from the limelight.

There were quite a few experts getting on camera saying how they could help.
If they were that good they would have been helping not promoting their business.

The police seem to be focused on the theory that she fell in the river. They aren't just not looking in to any other theory. But also saying it hurts the family to even mention other theories.

Meanwhile its come out that even the family don't understand why the police have ruled out every other theory at this early stage.

Why would she fall in the river when she was sat on the bench in a conference call? I can imagine if her phone was on the floor next to the river. It seems like an unusual sequence of events had to happen for the polices theory to become a reality.

Have the police searched the area?

Some people say she might have fallen in getting her dog from the river. But if her dogs out then unless she jumped in then she wouldn't be in as you'd lean back to safety to pull the dog out.

I could imagine someone might have pushed her in i.e. someone stopped to talk to her, and she put the phone on mute and on the bench. Then the idiot pushed her in the river. As we know idiots are pushing random people on to train tracks at stations these days. I've heard of people being pushed in to canals too. That would be a more likely way to be in the river than she just fell in

In all seriousness, it's a tragic outcome but I think most people reasoned that it would likely have something to do with the river. I hope that it was just an accident and there was nothing malicious, either by herself or someone else.

Because that does not substantiate your assertion that all theories should be treated equally from the start. Some theories are simply unrealistic, and should be dismissed out of hand. Other theories are realistic, but lack any evidence. And so on, and so forth.

You've also mischaracterised what's happening with the Lancashire police. They're conducting an internal review after disclosing Ms Bulley's personal health information. They're not being investigated over how they handled the investigation.

Totally agree. Hit em where it hurts. Strip them of thier accounts. Permanently.

At some point this needs will start happening I'm sure. People doing ever more extreme stuff for views.

It must be horrible to have even the event in the media let alone be accused of it.
