Apparently this has been going on in other countries for years and once again we are so behind.
I for one will leave it on because I'm not led by conspiracy theorists.
 
I got used to it living in NZ but it was useful there. So long as it's used correctly I don't see the issue.

Then again I don't always take my phone with me so....
 
Just imagine. You're just going along, minding your own business at work or strolling around the town centre when all of a sudden you hear "Allahu Ackbar" followed by multiple volleys of automatic gunfire. "****", you say to yourself, "Best get to cover somewhere." A few moments later you're hunkered down in a safe, well hidden spot and can hear the gunfire getting closer. You put your phone into silent and hold your breath. Thankfully you excel at hide and seek and the gunmen pass you by. You let out a huge sigh of relief....

"AWOOGA AWOOGA! THIS IS AN EMERGENCY BROADCAST. THIS IS AN EMERGENCY BROADCAST. REPORTED TERRORIST ACTIVITY IN TOWN CENTRE, PLEASE SEEK COVER AND AWAIT THE AUTHORITIOES"
