What TV shows are you currently watching

Just finished 'The Diplomat' on Netflix.

It's described as a Drama; Political thriller, so I was expecting something harder hitting. It's more of a light drama with a bit of comedy. Not a bad watch though, just feels a bit soapy.

I'd give it a 7.4/10 rather than the 8/10 rating it gets on IMDB.

Starting the 3rd season of Guilt even though I wasn't impressed with the 2nd. Think I'm only really watching it because I get to recognise so many parts of Edinburgh and I might have a slight crush on Mark Bonnar.

It actually isn't too bad so long as you don't take it too seriously!

My girlfriend wanted to watch this but I got that impression from the trailers. As big fans of The West Wing I fear it's going to be a very poor relation... I do have a thing for Keri Russell though. She was great in The Americans.

She is good. West Wing or House of Cards, it is not though. You need to accept be able to accept a bit of silliness in order to enjoy it.

Just watching Citadel at the moment, starts well, too early to say beyond that. So far feels like a weird mash of James Bond with Westworld vibes.

Just watched the 1st episode of Citadel too.

Citadel did the first and second ep last night .. has got my attention .. tried to watch power ..it didn't ...

Yep citadel first 2 episodes, its off to a nice start

Watched the 1st 2 episodes last night. Enjoyed it and you can sort of see how it's cost so much (300Million) as ii all felt very "movie" like. Not much you can really do new in this genre story line wise. If you've seen Mission Impossible and James Bond, I can guarantee there will not be a single story element that hasn't previously been seen in one of those fanchises.

It all felt very high octane and the action scenes were very good. I have my doubts on whether they can tell a good action spy style story in 6 x 40 minute episodes, but I'll keep watching every week. There is literally no space for filler subplots, romance, excessive flashbacks etc.

Watched the first episode of Your Honor season 2 last night. Loved the first season but wasn't sure where they could take this season - was interesting and will stick with it.

Watched a bit more of Pachinko yesterday (eps 3-6). This show is an absolute hidden gem. Amazing acting, beautiful soundtrack and shot very well. I'll be sad to finish it.

-edit- Oh, season 2 starts filming this June!

I hate subtitles. That puts me off...

yes same gave up after ep1 though , was looking forward to it as well :(

Don't see the point in "hating subtitles" as it completely closes you off from a literal world of new TV/movies, but OK.
I don't see the point of why a person can't have a preference on how they consume their media.

I normally don't watch films/shows with subtitles unless they're really good. I don't enjoy being glued to the screen reading the whole time.
