Less than a month to go!

Whos turning up?

@Gibbo ?
@DRZ ?

Anyone else?

I will be doing charity rides for the sporting bears again on the Saturday, last time all my slots were booked within 10 minutes for the entire day, so if you wanted to get a ride with this driving addonis head over to the yellow tent really early. I dont know what the charity of the day will be, but last year it was Acorns Childrens Hospice. We take absolutely no costs out of the day for any of the volunteers or drivers, so 100% of the donation ammount goes directly to the charity.

I'm on a trip that ends on the Saturday. Not invented a way to be in two places at once yet, sadly!

I'll be there Saturday. Not entirely sure what in yet mind, might have deal sorted on new car by then :)

I'm going with the family to spectate on the Saturday, is there an age/height limit on the passenger rides and is it possible to pre-book them do you just have to chance it on the day? Thanks!

They need to be able to be safely sit in with the seatbelt on without a booster, and also be able to do their own seatbelt up, as at the other end we often get out and watch the other cars turning up before coming back in a convoy of all the cars that went. (Its just child safeguarding stuff basically, while all the drivers are crb checked, the club has strict rules on helping/touching for obvious reasons).

chance it on the day

Afraid so, I would suggest hanging around the yellow tent at the start of the day, my car usually sells out very very quickly.

Great, thanks for the info. Hopefully I can kick the kids into action early enough that they have a shot at a slot!

I'll be there Saturday but not running this time. Found the queuing more effort than it's worth in previous years! Sporting Bears is great, will likely grab a ride in something again. Will be on the SCC display stand right next to the auction display, say hello if you spot me!

I missed last year but the year before it did seem rather chaotic in regards to the queuing for runs, often cars cutting through to join the queue halfway up etc. Hopefully this year will be a little better, I'm due to be doing runway demos on the sat and have a deal for a McLaren 650S due to complete the Tuesday before so a pretty safe place to properly stretch its legs for the first time :D

2021 was tolerable, 2022 was madness. You need to get there super early or just hang around all day and get some runs in right at the end, can even manage some back to back once everyone’s gone home.

2021 - Amazing, I just kept driving round in circles, got like 8-10 runs in with hardly any queuing.
2022 - Absolute joke and mess.
2023 - Did not even invite me to run, a tad miffed as was looking forward to really stretching the 600 LT's legs, reckon it would be pushing 160-170 in that short stretch how mental it is.

Shall still be there Saturday in the LT, will see if I can blag a run somehow. :D

Given I was at ~160mph taking the corner quite easy I reckon you'd be able to hit that and then some, especially with a bit of commitment on the bend!

Agreed as was seeing about 158 in the 458, confident I can take the corner quick in 600 LT and the extra firepower easily see 160+
