He was claiming the scores were double digits higher probably had them all playing on PC at above 60fps and avoiding areas of the game with major issues.I’d be interested to see those internal metrics? The game is a joke, a complete mess I’m surprised it’s scored as highly as it has as it should be down there with the XIII remake.
True, no disagreement there, but it's clear more time should have been taken to improve it and sort out the issues.
The AI is completely broken and the gfx are from 8 years ago. So unless they showed him Prey and plastered redfall on the logo. There is zero way it reviewed so high internally! He was claiming the scores were double digits higher probably had them all playing on PC at above 60fps and avoiding areas of the game with major issues.
Phil Spencer's words not mine. I'm just trying to think of how it would have got the ratings he claimed it got internally. The AI is completely broken and the gfx are from 8 years ago. So unless they showed him Prey and plastered redfall on the logo. There is zero way it reviewed so high internally!
There are only 2 things I can deduce from this : either Phil Spencer is full of **** or the MS/Xbox internal management process isn't fit for purpose.Just saw Phil Spencer being interviewed on KFG's XCast. He said the poor reviews were a bit surprising, and that their internal metrics had predicted much better review scores for the game. It could all be bluster to appease fans, shareholders or whoever, sure... But if not I'd have a few concerns about XB going forward.
Do companies even have internal testers these days, I sure do wonder at times.I fail to see how this would have reviewed well internally, unless it was just company super-fans or yes-men.

I read there was supposed to be a review embargo until 3 hours after launch, but someone broke it and the flood gates opened.I’d be interested to see those internal metrics? On the plus side (copium) at least they only have publisher in common and not developerTBF, a lot of us were worried about Starfield before the Redfall debacle.![]()
Exactly why I don't buy any of them.Everything they say is lies. It's the same song and dance after every disastrous AAA game that is knowingly launched in a broken low-effort state just to grab people's money, that's all they care about. Then we get the "we need to do better" postt, more excuses and flat out lies.
Starfield will be a broken mess. If you think otherwise you're deluded.
Colour me deluded then, but hopeful.
