Considering the systems aren't likely to be situated beyond the boundaries of cities I think Western contractors/SpecOps/IntOps can keep an eye on them without too much bother.

There is a certain comedy to the fact that when a bunch of Syrians got their new T-90 wrecked Russia blamed the loss of the tank on the incompetence of the troops.

So what is it Vlad are your tanks **** or are your troops incompetent? :D

Our knowledge of adversary capabilities, how far that goes and how we gather that knowledge are still a very closely guarded secret. As is obviously our own equipment capabilities and their specific signatures etc
That said its a pretty solid bet that they know ours and we know theirs, and we have to work under that assumption at all times. Yes we have to try our best to protect this information. However, as soon as the equipment gets used, be that testing or in genuine combat situations, the genie is out of the bottle.
Granted in training/testing you can spoof it and use training frequencies and waveforms so as not to hand the information to the adversary on a platter. Countries including Russia and our own spend an enormous amount of time money and effort to gather this type of information.
For example, it was widely known that throughout the Cold War the soviet union had sigint ships disguised as fishing vessels and the likes listening in to our military radio communications/patterns and building up pictures of radar signatures etc Russia continue that practice to this day.

Russian doctrine is that it's only gay if you enjoy it, if not your just dishing out some extreme violence.

Pretty much what you would expect from the same people who brought you the fact that asbestos is only harmful to you if you fear it (not a joke, their actual justification for why it's safe to use in construction).

Not sure about Vietnam but that was generally the case in the Yugoslavia wars. The radar commander who shot down a stealth bomber was only turning his on for brief periods when he suspected NATO targets would patrolling, then relocating his equipment.

Probable Putin is on the move - airborne command post up and a few government flights though can't see his normal planes. I'm guessing Sochi to Moscow.

How do you see this? My flight tracking sites never show any military stuff, especially Russian, even when I have the options enabled.

You should be able to see most Western military activity outside of sensitive missions - ADS-B exchange has a military filter. The Russians often don't publicly broadcast or only briefly though the airborne command post is up as RSD956 at the moment.

Can't see any military aircraft at all, even with the filter enabled on ADS-B. The entirety of the Black Sea, Ukraine and Russia is just one big empty space.

Ah weird ADS-B exchange isn't showing any of the Russian planes for some reason, FR24 has them though they are just landing at Moscow now.
