Obviously there are many potential road blocks such as can Ukraine join NATO considering they're still technically at war etc. I'm sure someone in these forums who is versed in the technicalities of NATO application requirements could explain why they wont/will be able to join but I'm sure exceptions can and will be made to allow them. Lets be honest, this has been a war of growing exceptions.
The being at war or being in a conflict is one issue but the bigger one IMO is that all existing members have to unanimously agree it and I can see the likes of Turkey and Hungary blocking it.

Dont think Turkey will.
Turkey played up with scandi states for other reasons.
Turkey have been supplying some drones for example (although private not military) so don't see them having any issue with Ukraine tbh.

That’s the issue, even if Ukraine remove Russia from within their border. Russia will continue to terrorise Ukraine by launching missiles from within its own borders. It will be an absolute mess.

Sanctions need to be far stronger and need to affect those countries benefitting from Russia’s weakness like India /Pakistan. The screw needs to be tightened.
I agree with your 2nd point, India is taking the **** propping up the Russian economy. We shouldn't be investing money or moving jobs their until they stop supporting Russia. No such thing as being neutral if you don't call out evil.

On your first point I tend to think Russia's government and it's armed forces will have collapsed before Ukraine pushes them out of their boarders. Whatever comes out of ruins won't be in a position to keep attacking Ukraine with missiles as they will be too busy trying to stabilise power internally.

The last time the USA declared war was WW2 after Pearl Harbour - everything else has been a police action, including the 2 invasions of Iraq,
There are good reasons not to declare war and some limitations if you do. This conflict that has killed tens of thousands does feel like a war - even if it technically isn't.

Russian artillery has a bad day
Hard to tell from the picture if it's Russian or Ukrainian.

But whoever's it is, the barrels on the Msta are a replaceable/consumable item designed to be swapped out ever X rounds. If it failed from overuse that implies they're running low on replacements (so could be either side) or the crew were incompetent (so Russian). If it failed due to quality issues with the barrel or ammunition that would imply Russia :P

Send A-10s too :D
Waste of time/effort, the Ukrainians already have the Su-25 which is essentially a better A-10 so it would be better to instead convince other ex-SSRs to send theirs. But the problem is that Ukraine can't use their Su-25 effectively anyway as they lack the air superiority to deploy them properly.

The A-10 is a plane that's spent the last 40+ years living off a manufactured hype, it was sold to politicians and the military with the idea that if WW3 kicked off it would lay waste to the masses of Soviet tanks streaming into western Europe and that's what many still envisage despite it never living up to the hype. I.E in Desert Storm it's now estimated that as much as half the targets originally claimed to have been destroyed by the A-10s (excluding friendly fire incidents) were actually destroyed by the superior F-111 (US equivalent to the Su-24 or Tornado).

The A-10 is a cool plane and will always have a special place in the heart for those who grew up with the hype, but in reality it's only useful when you have air supremacy and the enemy has no anti-air. And in those situations there are other planes you can send that will do the job better.

In which case it's interesting why the US isn't scraping the A-10 and is going to upgrade and extend the service life significantly.

Almost as if the supposed replacement aircraft isn't as good...

Or keeping the A10 going supports jobs in a more senior senators area ;)

Some unconfirmed reports suggesting that the last of the remaining Ukrainian forces within Bakhmut city limits have finally pulled out.
I wonder if the plan is to feint Russian forces into pushing more troops in to the city(whats left of it) then attack the flanks and cut them off? Or they have finally decided there nothing left there to defend?
