Looks like your story is bringing other incidents to light.

Terrible service....but one thing in particular struck me...

In February, I was driving my immaculate Rolls-Royce Silver Spur...

… presumably, that's February 2023, but...

I approached my insurer, Direct Line, and asked it to send an engineer to investigate, only to be told “we do not send out engineers on account of Covid”.

...are companies still using Covid as an excuse for poor/lacking service? Perhaps I'm wrong, but I thought the pandemic had pretty much entirely passed.

These stories do worry me as an RAC member who drives an old car and has a disability which means I can't wait around for long...

However I have only had to call them twice, and both times someone was there within the hour to take me and my car safely home.

Both times were third party companies they had outsourced the work to though!
