In all seriousness though, I don't think user engagement was exactly huge to begin with, saw a few screenshots earlier in the week where some of the bigger names on there were barely getting triple digit 'like/retweets' etc

Well yeah but Threads just plucked it's user base from Instagram. If they were smart they would have integrated Threads into the Instagram app, as it stands it's already peaked and it'll be a meme in 6 months.

Is this the first Elon promise thats come true (in Twitter world) feels like it.

Can't see how its going to help with his cashflow issue however!

Makes you wonder if this has been rushed out because of threads or jus convenient timing.

Why does it feel rushed? He promised it a while ago and delivered it, where's the rush?

Well I wouldn't expect it to make you wonder. You will of course pick which ever scenario most suits Elon.

The rest of us however would look at the timing and go hmmm.
As I said, its it just because of threads or convenient timing.

Elon says lots of thing that don't happen.
He may have had the code ready for months but been delaying, it may have just been completed with no coincidence to threads, it may have been rushed because of threads.

I am not saying its rushed, just that it could have been.

What is up with some peoples inability to read whats written.

Where did I say it was bad?

Thats not saying its bad at all, that is what it says.
Was he forced into action in this regard or is the closeness to threads launching just coincidence (convenient timing).

I think its a good thing overall.
Doesn't stop me wondering if the timing is forced, or luck.
