It wasn't that bad he finished his last season with a trophy and he has a premier League winners medal too.

End of an era though. He was the last of Fergie's players.

Sad to see him leaving but he's given 12 excellent years to the club. Very much a great player for United - yes, he's had a few dodgy games like any keeper does but overall a fantastic servant to the club and best wishes to him moving forward.

That DDG gone. I don't know if that means Onana is wrapped up. Probably not. Fingers crossed Inter won't suddenly think this makes us more desperate.

It was the right time for him to move on. Fantastic keeper in general for us over the years. The game just moved on and left him behind and his salary was frankly obscene.

Good look David, always a big fan but all good things must come to an end.
It means the Glazers are absolute clowns, we currently don't have anyone to take his place and it's down to the way they run the club, they just need to leave.

If they're even thinking about staying they're even stupider than they look

They paid under £100m for the club as far as I can tell, the rest of it was in the form of loans/debt they then pushed back onto the club. They are going to walk away with over £5bn by the looks of it after turning the club from the dominant English club into a sideshow. I think its fair to say they have been anything but stupid.

I thought it was pretty much ETH’s decision not to pay so much.

He wasn't going to be first choice and it would be absolutely nuts to give him anything more than £100k/week as a backup. I think the rumour was that our contract offer was for £200k/week before we pulled it.

Wasn't Fat Mike "selling" Newcastle for about 5 summers before he actually went.

Glazers will probably end up making that look like a quick sale.

Problems the Glazers have is that they have made such an utter mess of running the club that they pretty much have to sell. The debt is back up at nearly 1bn all things considered and the club needs huge investment in modernisation and facilities.

If they are not careful they will be trying to sell a rapidly devaluing asset in a few years, all because they were such greedy *****.

The fans will also be out for blood if the Glazers are still here come the start of the season. Their position is not good if they don't sell but nothing would surprise me with these parasites.

Yea, that really hurts them.

I do not think Financial Fair Play penalties should be financial.

Points are all the only penalties that should be given.
I didn't say it hurt them, I was simply responding to Stumble Bum and Adam who seemed to be suggesting City hadn't been punished by UEFA. They have on two occasions and would have received the CL ban had it not been for a technicality in UEFA's own rules. There are no new or outstanding charges from UEFA however there are from the PL, relating to the the 2nd charge City faced from UEFA.

I'm joining them in suggesting that is something really a punishment if it doesn't hurt you?
The 300k Utd were fined didn't hurt them so it's not a punishment either, right? And they were literally suggesting nothing had happened re City's charges, not that they were insufficient, when they had.
