Pre-season Friendlies - Summer 2023

Why wouldn’t he say that? It’s sportsmanlike to admit the team who beat you played better
Because it's a friendly between two teams at different stages of their pre season. I find football fans' ability to get wound up over any perceived slight towards their team bizarre

I wouldn't be wound up by it but I would think that he was being a bit of a salty *****.

Currently beating Leicester 3-0, could've easily been behind early on though.
Got got out early on with some long balls (same issue last season), looking good attacking wise though - Jota is looking very very good so far this pre season

Nunez is looking sharp too, 4 goals in 3 games so far. Mac Allister looks like he has fit in perfectly, he's pulling a lot of the strings in these preseason games.

Still looking a bit clumsy/hesitant for me on occasions, putting it in the net which is good though :)

Gakpo after 3 mins. Nice. Another forward looking sharp in preseason. Our frontline is looking pretty deadly, just need to hope the other 2/3rds are just as strong when the season starts

All the front line are looking sharp, it just means most have no idea who the front three will be short of Salah on the right. I’d probably play Jota, Nunez and Salah and give Gakpo an AM role which I think he can do. Diaz coining on at 65 mins with tired defenders sounds fab too.
