Summer Transfer Window 23/24

Christ, that is embarrassing for Liverpool, but even I would admit Liverpool under Klopp is more appealing than Chelsea's weird scattergun project...

Well if you have a deadline, tell both clubs to make their bid till that deadline, accept the Liverpool bid then go back on it then it isnt a good look is it.
Agree a deal with one club, now apparently have to agree terms with another club despite giving their word- if the player only wanted Chelsea why the shenanigans last night?

Never wanted him anyway, just an Ecuadorian Scott mctominay
But it's a three way negotiation. Brighton accepted our bid, as they told us they would if we were the highest bidder. It's not their fault that the player has chosen not to come to us.

Clearly Brighton can't be restricted from selling Caicedo to somebody else if the move to us does not go through.

Question though - Caicedo says he basically gave Chelsea his word in May. What are the rules on tapping up?

Meh, club's own deadlines are as useful as a chocolate tea pot. Nothing but some money would make that go away. Just look at the Kane "deadline". The only deadline that matters is the one imposed by UEFA.
