Summer Transfer Window 23/24

Doubt he'll drop down to the Championship.
Spurs might though

That doesnt mean we "know" it means we can assume, but assumption doesnt equal fact. If he just said it outright then it would be fact. Simple. What I dont understand is we won the auction right, we got the highest bid before the deadline, he is willing to join us, why hasnt he gone to Liverpool for a medical yet. Whats the hold up, we won the auction, he is willing to join, everything should be wrapping up by now surely.

Because he's weighing up his options? He'll just want to join the team that has the biggest chance of winning stuff over the next 5 years, it's a big decision for him. Chelsea and Liverpool have laid their cards on the table, its now over to him to make a choice. You could still get him.
I'm sure he'll be watching the Liverpool v Chelsea game tomorrow though

That should be an easy choice then, most chance of winning stuff over the next 5 years between Chelsea and Liverpool, Liverpool. If thats all he is weighing up, should be a pretty straight forward decision. Especially after Liverpool hammer Chelsea 4-0 tomorrow :D

He's been offered a 9 year 250k a week contract, I imagine that has something to do with it.

no can be over as long as you want but for FFP the fee can only be over max of 5
Ahh...well, still....makes the whole idea of having a "midnight deadline" pointless if you are going to continue letting people increase their bids after the deadline. Just read that its 115m and an 8 year contract from Chelsea and expected to be completed within the next 48 hours. Back to the old drawing board for us then, maybe time to push harder for Gravenberch, or Thuram, or Kone or sod it, we've got 110m to play with, get 2 of those in

As far as Im aware chelsea still havent made a bid, its the usual 'bidding soon' ******, all the telegraph story earlier was just details of teh package Caicedo was going to be getting, something thats been known since May when he agreed terms and the figure of 115 million was mooted this morning and we still haven't had a chelsea bid. **** is boring now, what's taking them so long? On our side, apparently John Henry and co have flown to the uk today

48 hours since Brighton gave a 'deadline' for the sale, nothing from them regarding this saga either

I think at this point, we just have to accept he is signing for Chelsea, as much as I would like to sniff on the copium, he's London bound.

If they pay up he will yeah, but thats been the same for the past few months.. I think that the fee is crazy but you know what I'd love us to tell brighton we'll go higher if Chelsea do throw a bid in just for the lols and a nice John Hnery tweet of 'what are they smoking over at stamford bridge'

end of the day is 111m plus on Caicedo worth it when we could get Lavia and Inacio for 100 and then look at maybe one more in the middle

We’ve been hearing constantly for the last 48 hours that Chelsea are ready to match Liverpools bid or have tabled a £115m offer but so far they haven’t. Brighton must be getting fed up as they have money on table from one club and another that keeps delaying.

Brighton should give Chelsea an ultimatum to submit a bid by a set date/time and if it isn’t met then the player decides out of going to Liverpool or staying a Brighton.

Whatever we do with this Caicedo farce, we need to get moving asap on the DM/s we're going to bring in. I actually think that Chelsea are going to get both Caicedo and Lavia , which means we've only got 3 weeks to find and sort out 1 or preferably 2 alternatives. Clocks ticking or its bandaid that position til January and hope for the best.
