Yeah, I'll give it till near the end of my 14 day return window and if it remains the same. I will have to return it, regardless of how good the price is..

Hey guys,

I don't suppose anyone has a Phantek P600? I was wondering what would be the optimal airflow layout.

I have 3 be quiet 140mm fans at the front of the case and one at the back. I have also an nh d15 and the panels are off.

I was thinking of putting another exhaust at the top of the case but didn't want it taking air away from the d15.

Installed. Good god, it couldn't of been tighter. Was like a precise surgical strike. 1mm more and it wouldn't of fit in without pushing against the sides, had to put it in diagonally and slowly lower it down. On the plus side the front fans cannot be any closer to cool it!

Passed the 35w Planescape Torment test.

Silent in Elden Ring! That was my number one test between a good 4090 card and a bad one.

Slowly working my way up to the most powerful games lol.

I actually have a almost silent Rog Stix, that's crazy I know people who have swapped out loads trying to get one. Completely silent on RT games, including Cyberpunk. Only 100% gpu ultilisation standard raster can I hear anything with the audio muted but it's not like a harsh buzzing just a really mild fizz... and yes that includes the dreaded Red Dead 2.

Probably the best one I have had. I might actually really be done! Lol.

It does seem a but unfair given same retailer, same batch same time. I think we have the same power supply as well. I had two Tuf 4090s previously and the coil whine did lower substantially about 6 hours in, so keep gaming on yours to see what happens!

Wait how many 4090s have you had?. Yea, same PSU and all.

Did you check if you had the revised power connector?. It could even be you have the new chokes or simply super lucky.

Hmm thats a tough question... around 9-10. Four of which I'd say had really low coil whine.

What I always wanted was a low coil whine, silent fans, good build quality (no plastic) and good PCB. The Suprim, TUF or Strix are the only ones that meet that criteria IMO. If noise isnt an issue, I also really recommend the 4090 FE (It's not loud, just not silent).

I did just check and its the old connector. I tried to read into the serial number but couldn't work out a manufacturer date.

I'm going to see how well it over clocks. I think I could sell it for 3k if it clocks over 3ghz and has no/really low coil whine lol.

Holy crap, that's a lot of 4090s!. Why did you end up sending the tufs back if the coil whine reduced a lot?.

It have the exact same criteria when it comes to GPUs. There is also warranty too, shame MSI decided to move their rma base to Poland..

I have applied a moderate overclock of 150 on the core and 1000 on memory. It seems rock solid on stock power limit (100).

The first one was "ok" but not a good overclocker so thought I'd roll the dice. Second one was a good overclocker but bad coil whine.

Anyways this new card is not a good overclocker.... its actually amazing! So far up to 3.1ghz at 66c.

I take it you have performance bios on? Did you touch the power limit?. I can get 175+ on core and 1400+ on memory before crashing.

I could be imagining this but once the memory was clocked up to 1400, the whine went down quite a bit.

It could well do as your pushing it to its limits and then when you reduce down it can have an effect.

Just checked and its the old voltage limit of 1.1. So far got +270 and +1400 which takes me to 3.1ghz stable. All sliders maxed. It gives me about 9-10 extra fps in Control full RT, native 4k. That's over the Strix base, not the FE base, as it already has an overclock.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I have left the quiet bios on and temps for the ram are around 86c on the memory.

You really hit the jackpot.

I'll be undervolting + overclocking as my standard game mode. But I do like to have a "balls to the wall" profile, ready for the future when an extra 10fps will come in really handy.

I should really try that to see if it helps with the coil whine but most simply say to stick it to 80 power limit and add whatever you can.
