If he's left the club then we can't send him out on loan? He'd have to re-sign with us in order for that to happen unless I'm missing something? The correct outcome but probably arrived at the wrong way. The wording of his departure is a bit open ended - I wonder whether he goes out on loan and then returns to the club.
I do wonder whether part of Utd's reluctance to bin Greenwood could be linked to the accusations made against Antony. Utd have now set a precedent for this sort of thing and if the reports are true and Antony's ex-wife follows through with her complaint are Utd now going to have to suspend Antony while an investigation is on going and will they then ditch him?
I think this is the best result really. The issue I had was that if he stayed at Utd he'd have been paid his wages, if the club 'fired' him he'd be entitled to the rest of his wages. I think a lot of people wouldn't have thought it right for MG to get these wages. I didn't consider that the club and MG would agree a mutual separation which I guess means he forgoes his wages?
