I think it's going to grind on for another five to eight years, and then eventually Ukraine will surrender territory to Russia in order to get peace. That will probably mean Crimea and a section of connecting land rather than the entire region occupied by Russia, let alone claimed by Russia. Not how I want it to to end, at all, but I think it's the most likely outcome.

I'm guessing it might take less time, but pretty much agree with all of that.

Attrition is going to be a huge issue for Ukraine. Not least as so many 16 and 17 year olds are now refugees and may not be willing to return and fight

Most wars end with a piece agreement

IMHO there are a few possible scenarios. I think the main factor is going to be if Putin manages to stay in power. If he does it will be almost impossible for Ukraine to get Crimea back. If a new ruler comes to power in Russia, or a civil war starts there it will be a lot easier for Ukraine to go back to it's 1991 borders.
