Newcastle are quite a physical side. I'm impressed by their workrate and appetite particularly at home. They blew Villa away and have developed a good habit of starting fast. I wish United ( of Manchester ) played like that. I thought Newcastle might have a case of second season and clearly CL football has an impact but they've made a good start.
lol at that view of Trent throwing the ball half way down the pitch and people on here claiming he just casually tossed the ball back to where he thought he'd get a free kick from
Gotta love Carraghers logic - you can't give a card for denying a clear goalscoring opportunity as long as you make sure to wipe the player out before it's 'clear'
lol Carragher with a face like a slapped arse That was clearly going to be a goal scoring opportunity and so a red. The guy is a joke and shouldn't be anywhere near Liverpool games.
It's one of those yellows where you're literally on thin ice after, any mistake or foul play and you're getting a 2nd yellow. But it doesn't hit the threshold of a straight red for me. Lewis should give an opinion though, he's an ex pro.

Got to laugh, number of fouls by Joelinton, ref has a word with him, guess to say cut it out, 1 min later he kicks clean through a player and no booking. Maybe ref told him him I'll give you 10 more fouls
