Look, there's no magic money tree, you know?

Here in the UK, we simply can't afford anything right now.

(...and we still haven't delivered those tax breaks we promised our billionaire donors...)

This and all the other comments are true, however I should point out that during the 1970's when Britain was known as the sick man of Europe (and was an economic basket case), manpower in the armed forces was twice what is now.

We're still the 5th (or 6th, I'm not sure) biggest economy in the world, if it needs to be funded we can find a way. And I think we should.
 
We are a Island, our money is better spent in the air, sea and a support roll. Yes you need boots on the ground at some point but other countries are better supported to to that.

Our new sub program is costing billions that's our defence and defence of Europe.
