Seen the first tank v tank combat with western tank.

Can't link but it's on Twitter. A Leopard 2 tank takes on a couple Russian T tanks, unsure which model. The Leopard takes out one of the Russian tanks and then the second tank turns around and tactically disengages
Corrected that for you

As frustrating as it is, we have to keep reminding ourselves that these sham elections are not for our benefit, but for the home audience. Does seem ridiculous that they even bother to go through the motions as it is though...

While this is great to see, it should be noted that this is the same thing that was happening a year ago when Russian T tanks rank into the Ukrainian T-64 tanks. Still great to see :)

Also worth mentioning that it turns and runs because it's reverse gear is unusably slow, major design flaw of Soviet tanks (not considered a flaw by Soviet generals of course as they expected their troops to either be advancing or dying where they stood, never retreating).

NATO Boeing E-3A Sentry near the Black Sea in Romania - not very often seen them there - dunno if NATO jets are doing patrols or something or monitoring something else.

Russians turning it into tunnel warfare?

Dunno if there are any tunnels but most of that footage is dug out and covered trenches/foxholes not underground.

Yeah a lot of the older hardware was designed with the primary concern being either a massive rush into Europe or to defend against against a NATO invasion, anything else was secondary. In the case of the tanks one of the reasons they are relatively small is the consideration for defensive use in the terrain bordering Russia, where they were expected to block to the last man.

I havnt seen them flying all that much in that region on the usual ADB-S channels. At least they havnt been advertising it on ADB-S since the episodes of the Russians buzzing and impacting the drones.
I think its safe to say they have continued patrols in the region the entire time. However normally when on operational missions the wouldnt normally "advertise" themseleves when taking part in missions.

We are a Island, our money is better spent in the air, sea and a support roll. Yes you need boots on the ground at some point but other countries are better supported to to that.

Our new sub program is costing billions that's our defence and defence of Europe.

All well and good unless we have to go to the aid of an ally who needs boots on the ground, hopefully won't happen but all bets are off these days.

That said we don't need a huge professional army - the important thing in the coming years will be the ability to pivot our structure and capabilities to meet evolving threats and related to that it would be a good idea to maintain a reasonable size territorial or reserve type force.

AFU clone version of the Shahed drone has been called the "Sunflower 200". What an amazing name.

(For anyone not following 200 means 'dead' in AFU military speak, and Sunflower because the bodies will feed the sunflowers.)

Russian embassy in Stockholm is asking the public to please donate used car tyres, donations can be made by dumping them outside the embassy entrance

I'm sure other embassies around the world will also be happy to take donations of this vital resource

Would be a disaster if all these tires catch on fire "accidentally" :)
