Please let it be that Ukraine, a country without a functioning navy, has 'sunk' a Russian submarine.

From video's, it sure doesn't LOOK and SOUND like 7 cruise missiles were taken out. (i.e. doesn't sound and look like only 3 hit).

Seeing as I have one in my garden that won’t die, all I can see in that photo is ******* Staghorn Sumac!

Hah my dad keeps a stash of stuff, which isn't allowed to be sold any more, for killing plants/weeds, painting fences (creosote), etc. the stuff which actually works but apparently causes cancer or whatever.

Top tip... used motor oil seals fences nicely, lasting for years. Probably also cancerous though.

"The diesel-electric submarine "Rostov-on-Don" and the large landing ship "Minsk" were damaged as a result of the attack on Sevastopol"

On the home front.. from the telegraph via msn

"Two unions have refused to back a motion to condemn Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, with one warning imperialism exists on “both sides of the conflict”. The Fire Brigades Union (FBU) voted against the proposals at the Trades Union Congress conference, insisting space for workers to discuss the issue has been “shut down” while criticising Britain’s involvement in the war. The Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) union abstained on the motion, titled “Solidarity with Ukraine”, but refused to comment further. Speaking at the conference in Liverpool, Jamie Newell, an FBU representative, said the invasion by Moscow was a “crime”, and his union condemned it. But he spoke out against the motion because he claimed it was “one of UK military intervention”. “We are proud of our history of internationalism, we oppose this composite,” he said. “The space for workers to debate this has been shut down.” He said the FBU supported “elements” of the motion, but criticised Britain’s provision of military aid, insisting “we do not believe that the escalation of war offers anything to the working class in Russia or Ukraine”.

Also important news this week, in the changing rooms at my footie teams last match, one of the guys said he thought Putin was a 'sound bloke'. The guy's a bit of a knob and nobody cared.

Sure he didn't say "Putin likes Sounding"? That would be much more up his... err... street.

(PS NSFW Google for the inquisitive)

I’ve been using Weedol which contains glyphosate, which works quite well. The problem is consistency, as I work away, 3 weeks on/off. So while I’m at home I’ll get it dying out just before I have to go back to work, with the plan being I can dig it out when I get back, but then my wife doesn’t carry on treating it while I’m away, so I come back and it’s recovered from my attempts to kill it and starts exploding every where again.

Anyway, back on topic, if Rostov-on-Don‘a been hit, then depending on the severity of the damage, then the Black Sea Fleet’s lost one of it’s Kalibr launch platforms that Ukraine doesn’t really have a way to stop at present. Rostov’s also a project 636.3 boat, so one of Russia’s newest improved Kilo class boats.

Ah that takes me back to my youth, don't mix it with glucose and set fire to it.
They changed the formula years ago to greatly reduce its oxidising potential.

I cannot confirm nor deny that I was once party to semi- accidentally making a small pipe bomb in an old bicycle handlebar. A hole was made in a shed somewhere in Devon and two teenagers were very ******* lucky to escape with only bloodshot eyes and ringing ears as shrapnel went everywhere.

I remain eternally grateful that I got all my really stupid stunts out of my system before cameraphones became a thing.

So it was your fault they added a fire suppressant! :D

A certain pirate themed cookery tome was responsible for a lot of this dangerous nonsense I feel.

This is probably the reason the ingredients were changed. It was commonly known back in the day how to make a bomb.
