Well I was very surprised. Thought it was good. One thing to note, the real driver insisted they include that fateful day.

yeah it was his biography so it was to show he never gave up and added drama to the journey i guess.
 
I'm just gonna come out and say it... ******* terrible movie! They had the opportunity to make something good here, but that was over 2 hours of just pure cringe and cliche. If it wasnt for my interest in motorsports and sim racing, I would never have sat through the whole thing. I think i'd rather watch Fast and Furious, at least that dosnt pretend to have any semblance of reality.

I feel this was a film aimed at those who never played the game, the visuals were good but the acting and timeline were terrible. I'm sure if you watched Fast & The Furious IMDB would recommend you watch this film!

Yeah there was no way this could have been aimed at "enthusiasts" not unless the creators were completely naive.
I dont mind F&F, you go into it expecting complete fiction and utter ridiculousness, I watch that purely for the entertainment value. Switch off brain mode! With GT I just couldnt do that, I couldnt enjoy it for what it was and I couldnt take it seriously either when I'm so invested in the roots and the aspiration of the film. its odd... I spent so much of the film just shouting "NOOOO!!! dosnt work like that!!!".

Yeah, I mean he got a new wheel, plugged it in and won a race, no calibration or anything :D Don’t get me started on the race that got him into the academy, he was 6 seconds behind the leader on the last lap, literally would have been near impossible for him to catch-up. Pretty insulting to those who watch motorsport

So basically it's either really good or really rubbish, 2 hours is a long time to waste on that gamble :D
 
This was horrible, as a fan of the GT games I was hoping it would do them justice. Unfortunately it follows in the footsteps of most game based films i.e. rubbish!
 
Mrs EddScott's only comment was that all the young adults in Cardiff had middle English accents.

She also asked me if I wanted to turn the film off as I was huffing and sighing an awful lot. :) I only just got through it. I'll almost never turn a film off early in disgust, but we were close.
