God job I prepared last night AO we're here about 7.30!

Set up parental control on my Son 11 yrs old so we can set screen time for his PC Window 10 :P

He is too much of a gamer, I wonder where he get that from

We have the same cloth hanging thing and the only difference is when I drill the celling for the pully I drill into a mains cold pipe :P
Lucky I know where the "stopcork" is

What's the point of having the line drop, are your ceilings really high or do you have 6 brothers :D . The fact the washer and drier aren't level with each other is making my eye twitch .

Well the rains have started and the sheer volume is causing "splash back" on the main log store I built earlier in the year

You can see the damp log ends and how it's at the bottom of the uprights

I've ordered some guttering to do a "proper job" but managed to cobble together a Heath Robinson solution with garage treasure in the meantime

It was in when we moved in (in the original utility room) and we were going to get rid, but the Mrs wouldn't be without it now

Quick, easy and can load a lot of stuff in there in the room which gets really warm with the heat from the two appliances

Yep, 2.8m high ceilings so defo needed :P

We've also had a little bit of splash back as you can see from the colour of the original logs. I'm not so sure guttering will help, I may just cover with tarpaulin and create a curtain to hide them from the worst of the weather.

Was away since Friday so only managed a couple of hours this evening.

Deep fill around the fireplace... this is first fix as I needed to build up and then make the corners. Went better than anticipated but still a nightmare job.

^ I actually think I might do the fireplace white. It isn't original; some pine repro from the 1990s/early 2000s. Probably spray paint?

I also did another round of sanding........my god am I going to be glad to see the back of this yellow stuff. I hope it hasn't kicked off the process of dying for me.

The plaster blew here as I was sanding --- the wall is the single brick. Gave it a lick of deep fill. I am certain some of the plaster is unbonded in a few areas but it is mostly fine - and original[ish] (horse hair and all).

I am now thinking about what to do with this space... the plywood prototype shoe cupboard has offered lots of learning... The "box" is what I might build and stack 6 of to the roof for various shoes/winter clobber. Keep trying to learn sketchup but fail miserably lol.
