Yeah 450w will be fine, and it'll be about double the average FPS (with a huge difference to minimums I imagine) according to https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388-2.html
Bargain.great thank you
seems cheap for a newish gpu ?
It is similar to a RTX 2060 or RX 6600, so would cost you around £200 to get a new card with performance at that level.great thank you

Only negative is that 1st gen RDNA has a reputation for being temperamental.
There were people on here who got shot of them because they could never resolve the black/green screen issues, it was pretty common at the time. If later cards/driver updates solved the issue, I don't know, but I haven't heard much about it since RDNA 2 launched.absolutely no issue with the 5700XT I had or my current 5600 XT

There really should be zero need to do this unless you run in to issues, it can actually cause more issues than it solves. I'd recommend to simply install the gpu, then install AMD drivers and done, you can always uninstall the other one later.Bargain.
Moving from Nvidia make sure he uninstalls all drivers, ddu is a free software to clear old drivers.

is an SSD needed for gaming, he still using a 2tb harddrive for all his games ?
If he hasn't complained yet, no. Don't show him a PC which has one.is an SSD needed for gaming, he still using a 2tb harddrive for all his games ?
I see this get mentioned a lot but its really not necessary. When i ran a system that had both nvidia and amd graphics cards I had to keep both drivers installed otherwise the card which didnt have drivers installed would not work properly.Moving from Nvidia make sure he uninstalls all drivers, ddu is a free software to clear old drivers.
