The board is not important (it is very recent and should work with anything), but these are important:I have limited info on the system but any suggestions based on what the board can run.
The reccomendedations by brother @Tetras is what resolution they would be best suited giving an upgrade from your gtx 1080PSU is Corsair RM850x
Not sure on the case but it is a full tower if that helps. Cpu is i5 13600kf. 2 x g.skill trident 16gb memory.
Thanks
Could you explain your recommendations as im not sure what that means. Sorry
Best GPU for your money is the 7800xt or if you prefer Nvidia the 4070 but the 7800xt is slightly faster.i believe its 1080 and around £500. Thanks
As @mickyflinn mentioned, it is the resolution of your monitor. Simply put: if you have a higher resolution monitor, then you need a better/bigger graphics card to play the latest games.Could you explain your recommendations as im not sure what that means. Sorry
Which games and settings? Is the resolution definitely 1080p?My son believes he cant play the latest games because of his GTX 1080. Is he misguided in thinking this?
You didn't answer the games, but generally: yes, a GTX 1080 is still capable of 1080p, even in recent games.Yes his monitors are quite old.
