I don't really drink much, certainly not in a 'going to the pub' sense. I'll drink cognac, good brandy or whisky at home occasionally but that's about it. My wife and I go to pub/restaurant type places for lunch occasionally, but that's in the context of ordering food and a round of drinks and just waving a card at the reader, so not something I make an effort to break down in my head.I have not been to a pub in years and looking at these prices I am glad I haven't
I have also read about pubs putting the prices up during busy periods or when football is on as well etc.
No more happy hour!
Last time I consciously bought a pint with cash out of my pocket they'd put the prices up, and it shocked me that it was now £1.35. That was 20-odd years ago though.
