Probably going to get a new helmet fitting today.

You can imagine the Merc team today, are they going to be giving 110% on supporting Lewis for one final season before he heads over to Ferrari for a massive final payday. Or is the 2024 Merc not a vast improvement over last years car.

Yeah I was half wondering if he's already realised the 2024 car isn't great; would certainly contribute to such an early season decision.

This feels much less of a shock to me. In fact I always half expected that he might end his career at (or at least have a stint at) Ferrari. An awful lot of champions end up there (I imagine as most racing drivers always have that little boyhood dream of one day driving for Ferrari in F1)

He will have been with Mercedes for 12 years by 2025.

Probably. I imagine he will give it a few years and then pack it in.

He's obviously still very good. He showed that last season. But age catches up to us all.

Genuinely gutted and shocked.

Guessing this means the W15 either sucks and he's had enough of waiting, or the W15 absolutely looks perfection and he knows he'll get number 8 and can relax for 2 years at Ferrari

It's definitely not the latter though :D
 
If Lewis to Ferrari happens, I hope he takes his tactics support with him! :cry:

Will Lando regret that McLaren contract extension, or is he in the car that has best chance of beating Max's Redbull?

Will Fernando get a chance at Mercedes and seal the team's downward fate? ;)

Has the honey badger got a hope of the Mercedes seat?
