******Official Star Citizen / Squadron 42 Thread******

For a week or two rumours have been floating around that Todd Papy is no longer with CIG.

People spotted his Spectrum account change from CIG Staff to backer and then got nuked.

Its confirmed now, his LinkedIn page has been updated to Open For Work. :(

Its sad.

I thought he would at least stay until base building was in the pu as that's been his baby since day one

Next to nothing, 100s of people work on it, they are all replacable and many have been over the years.

We'll need to keep an eye out for when tickets are going up, probably months off.

CitizenCon 2954 returns to Manchester Central on October 19-20, 2024!

How do you top our biggest and best CitizenCon to date? You’ll have to come to Manchester this October to find out. We’re already sure this will be our best one yet. Join us to celebrate CitizenCon 2954, the epic adventures ahead, and the vibrant community that makes it all possible.

Please note: There will be an additional off-site event with extremely limited availability happening on October 18 - more information coming at a later date.

This fortnightly update to roadmap removes vehicles from the personal hangers system. Only been 12 months of trying to make it work and was only discussed last week by Devs as coming and working already in engine. Just how

Because there's no pressure/repercussions, Don't get me wrong I love SC and the potential it has but the top people at CIG know they don't have to rush as they don't need to answer to anyone so they can drag their feet and be quite nonchalant about everything.

Not true to be honest, pressure is building, it peaks occassionally throughout the year but time is most definately starting to tick away louder IMHO.

Release isn't the end though, the plan was always for at least 10 years post full release. It's an IP they want to build upon.

What beginning to concern me is that we are nearly 1 quarter of the way through the year and other than Pyro play sessions none of us have seen anything from last years Citizencon yet.

I'm sort of with @Dicehunter , we have had a lot of years of not much happening and they have been quite nonchalant about that, i don't think even now the really feel the pressure, not like they should, if this year ends up yet another disappointment its like oh well, never mind ay? there's always the next few years, thanks for your continued support.

I think if they can deliver 2/3 of what's promised in 3.23, that would be great imo.

CIG could entirely stop updating SC for the next 5 years, Release a ship or 2 per year and they'd still be fine as they don't really need to answer to anyone.
