From April 2025 all EVs from 2017 will pay £180 Car tax
I have googled and cant find a definitive answer, is it just the renewal which will have a fee or in April 2025 will all EVs have to pay tax even if they are within a taxed period?
I am guessing it will only be at renewal where they have to pay for tax. The obvious answer would be to SORN the car for a few days in march 2025 and then tax again for 12 months however I have been barred from doing this by the boss!
so my 2nd and final question, even tho it is £0 can you choose to tax an EV for only 6 months? my car tax is due in June so i am thinking i may tax it for 6 months and then renew it for 12 months which will then take me to december 2025.
am i being tight fisted for a £90 saving? maybe. I guess you can take the Northerner out of the North but you cant take the North out of the Northerner
