Rocketing tyre prices

I think you will find the tires (among practically everything else) is also made in Ukraine

The price will largely depend on what car made/model you have but it will unlikely be the same as it was last year..

Pilot sport 4s for my car were roughly £240 per corner and this year they’ve gone up to circa £280 per corner.

I just get the cheapest i can find.

I would get too 'tyred' looking around otherwise!

About to start the look for a couple. Impressive they have got so little tread on after 15k miles. I'm sure the main steeler will try and sell me some for £150 a corner tomorrow.

Like everything else price goes up quality down, might just stick some ditch finders on....

Been like it for a while.

My first set of Michelin MP4S tyres on my old 430d were £580 back in 2021.

Last year, same tyres same supplier £885

Looking to swap the run flats on the new M440i & prices are around £900

I've just sorted a set of star rated MPS4s onto my sister's 3 Series for £668 on Monday, bought from Camskill with the cashback deal and local tyre filter put them on for £17.50 a wheel.

That's the normal 19" sizes 225/40 R19 and 255/35 R19, they are up a bit today would be £690 fitted.

I think it's the front one's that are up the most, I didn't order them but think they were in the low £170s

No increase for me on 195/55. Then again I just have a bingo/supermarket cafe bus (nissan note) and going by this size its all economy cars so price increases probably won't gain them much.

Depends on your car though aye, there is many cars where if you just went for the cheapest possible tyre regardless of its performance you may find the car has more torque than the tyre likes leading to worse handling. My FWD car only has 400nm torque and I notice a big difference between after switching out the cheap touring tyre the previous owner had on there for pilot sport 4's, if I put my foot down from stand still the previous tyres would just slip and spin and now I no longer have that issue, these tyres are also amazing for wet grip and braking, never once felt unsafe in the wet
