Absolutely brutal TTT in ZRL Tuesday night... Was reserve for EVO to hopefully then ride it with an easier 3R Team, who then didn't need me, then called in for EVO. By far the weakest rider... Another reserve called in only slightly stronger than me so got ready for a slightly easier ride... Only for him to end up on a road bike and get dropped in the first 5km! So back to being flogged by 5 other stronger riders. Thankfully only wanted me to do 30s turns so only skipped a couple, while also having the legs for surviving the climbs (x2) and being there at the finish for my trademark suicide pull.

Team came home a solid 2nd on the night, putting us up to 4th overall for the round (23/24 round 3)

TLDR; 59 mins 40s at FTP (average), but strongest 20 min power for a while (3.7w/kg - 274W) on Zwiftpower (unsure how far back that goes), new FTP (264W) showing on intervals.icu - chuffed! :D

Cinderella update
Sent back the Quoc's and the Shimano as neither were quite right.
Next up are some Fizik Tempo Decos Carbon

The colour won't be for everyone but I quite like a bit of bling and lets face it, most of us are slinking about in Lycra so it's hardly a look.
These actually fit quite well. easier to get on and off. One BOA seems fine to get a nice fit and having the half size 44.5 is spot on for me albeit I'm trying on with relatively cold feet. However I think we have a keeper which is probably a good thing as they are from CRC and returns might be about to get harder :(
£170 so not cheap but not mega expensive and my last pair of shoes are still going after quite a few years.
They look great mate! Love that colour, they change depending on the light? Reminds me of the colour some of the TCR's come in - https://www.bicyclechain.co.uk/shop...-tcr-advanced-pro-disc-1-di2-42847850/option/

Talking of shoes I got a pair of shimano rc7 from wiggle for 36.99 today! Absolute bargain. Only just got my RC9 and got an older pair of rc7 but I'll probably clean them up and sell them now.
Bargain! I've looked a number of times but really not found anything worth getting. Your other half still do shoe designs/refirbs?! Could get them looking pretty sweet to resell! :D

Took the new whip out for a 45 mile ride. Wasn't as dry as I'd hoped. But the ceramic coating I applied really makes light work of cleaning it!

Felt amazing. This is a 56, compared to my Tarmac 54. Feels more comfortable, but still super fast. Can't wait for Spring!
Looks amazing, love the colours! Wearing Jumbo kit with it?! So fast. Which Corsa tyres are those and how do they ride?

Interesting how similar you find it to the Tarmac - but also which Tarmac is yours? Still hounding my LBS to get me stock levels/colour options of a 54cm SL7. It surely shouldn't be this hard to spend £4.2k locally should it!?

Got 2 pairs of 100% sunglasses too! She sure does, these are my RC9 bargains, but only worn them like 3 times so far.

They're the N.EXT TLR tyres. Felt great, but only rode 45 ish miles, so didn't really have as much to go on to compare.

Which Jumbo kit do you mean?

Ahh ok, I did look at the N.EXT but couldn't find much info/reviews on them so went with Rubino's (which have not been great...)

The Jumbo comment was more about the Yellow/Black colour combo - "Killer Bees"! :D

Is that cat B? What sort of power do you need to do at the front and for how long? I never understand how hard you need to push and what recovery you get.

Yeah that was in B2. For me (being the weakest on team) meant doing 30s at 4.5w/kg. The others generally doing 60s pulls at 4.5 - 5.0. So with only 5 riders was a 4 min 'rest' - but ridden as a proper paceline and a technical course there was very little rest...!

Check my effort graph on my Strava activity (& why it really was a max effort for me - my FTP somewhere around 255-265W at 3.4w/kg): https://www.strava.com/activities/10850003679

The TTT's I do on Thursday are quite a bit easier - 8 riders and pulls at 4.0 so tend to do 2 minute pulls as quite a lot more rest between as usualy several doing 2 mins, can sometimes get 10+ mins rest. While also chatting & having fun as far less concentration needed as we don't ride a paceline. But we ride those as more of a training/workout ride than a 'fastest time at all costs' like the ZRL ones!

So guys, what cameras are you lot running on your bikes. I've had enough. Had probably 7 incidents on a 40km ride today with very light traffic and I'm ******* sick of it. I didn't want to bother with a camera but **** it, if drivers want to act like bellends I'm happy to record and report them.

I use a Gopro, the battery lasts 60-90 minutes and longer rides I take another battery to swap during my snack break. But inevitably, I only both to have it going irregularly. But I do see that Essex Police are taking poor driving around cyclists a lot more seriously lately.

I think quality, particularly with stability is important for this.

I think thats whats putting me off some of the other makers. Lack of image stabilisation or resolution. Our roads are junk and my eyeballs struggle at times to see straight so I don't reckon a non stabilised camera would do very well. What series of GoPro have you got? Main thing putting me off the GoPro is just the cost.

Few people i know use Cycliq

I had heard that they weren't very well stabilised but I just checked now and it suggests they are. I'll have to have a look at some footage from them. Anything that makes my life easier reporting and managing the footage will be welcome. I don't really want to do it at all but I've just had enough.

Tis digital IS, not mechanical.

Just an older Hero 7 which has first gen hypersmooth but does well on the bike.
