Cheap garden wall options?

What is a cheap way to replace this garden wal that is falling.

Currently made from decking

Was thinking railway sleepers or any other suggestions.

Cheapest. 2x2 treated timber stakes. Knock them in then screw the original boards to them. Softwood sleepers are £20 for 2.4m, Oak around £40. Scaffold boards can be had for £12 up here

6x2 timbers, build up two layers, knock in some stakes…..job done

Better than having to keep replacing and repair them

I'm with the others on this. The "fence" looks to be in ok condition so just hammer some stake in and screw the existing boards to them. Any solution other than sleepers or bricks/blocks will require stakes to keep it up anyway.

First job soon as spring hits.. lawn is quite waterlogged, not sure how to deal with that.

That would depend on if it's a temporary problem, aerate the lawn and put sharp sand or grit in the holes. If it's a more permanent problem you will have to get better drainage in

Don't know price now - I bought some years ago - just seems (as was for me) a very effective way for a low retaining wall.
