SolaX - Inverter/Battery/Accessory Discussion

Hi everyone. Im new hear, based in the east of England

I am a bit stumped and trying to find an easy solution to the problem i have

The daily yield and feed-in totals are not showing any more. System worked perfectly until 2 days ago. Whilst the panels are generating, battery is charging and im only drawing from the grid at night, the app marks ‘0’ grid generation.

Just wondering if its lost its connection to the meter

I have screenshots but cant seem to upload them

Thank you

I have the following installed.

SolaX X1 Hybrid G4 5kWh Inverter
SolaX Triple Power T-BAT H 5.8 Master V2.2 Firmware 1.03
SolaX Triple Power T-BAT H 5.8 Slave V2.2 Firmware 2.07
Wifi V3 Dongle SerialNumber SVxxxxxxx
Hi Jack, thanks for the really useful information. I wonder if you can help me. Is there any easy way to determine what model of Solax triple power battery I have? For example if it’s a gen 1 or 2.

one thing to try is getting onto solax directly, their chat (or phone, can't remember what i used) and they were super helpful troubleshooting my account. Think i had to create a new Solax account iirc

Hi,

Battery details can be found on the Analysis tab on the app.

Also, the details are on the side of the battery next to the silver information plate. I have a sticker which says V2.2 in green lettering.

Thanks Jack. I have a t63 battery but unfortunately there is no sticker on the battery. And I don’t have the app yet, so maybe I need to sort that out as a priority!

Odd one but… how do I get exported to grid info on the app? All my generation shows as self use

Apologies should have been clearer

My setup never shows anything but self use

Ie today so far everything generated has been self use, doesn’t seem to show it exported anything

If you're on the beta Solax app, a new update today.
UI completely redesigned.

It actually fixes the yield calculation to ignore grid imports, and has an actually quite useful time to charged / discharged display for the battery
On the minus side, the new graphs don't let you disable individual stuff.

Still primarily using Home Assistant, but this is definitely a major improvement over the last :)

Where do you see yield being correct because for me it still seems to include grid

Hello, I think I have a problem with the battery charger.
Solax X1 Ibrid G4 system with T30 batteries (4), when the batteries are charging at 80% the charging curve becomes almost vertical and little energy enters, have you had similar experiences and how did you solve it?

This is common with Solax, its just how the SOC is calculated.
I have had all my firmware updated and now it drops like a stone early on and yet the consumption according to SOC is brilliant at the end when the batteries are low %

SOC% is very imprecise.

I'm not sure it's a reading error, as the chart shows the battery SOC reaching 100% at a time consistent with being charged from PV.

Are you using TOU to control your inverter?

It looks like you have the "charge from grid" limit set to 80%.
No Tou inserted, SOC reaches 85%, accelerates to 93/94% then slows to 100%

The Amps drop when the Soc reaches 85% smoothly in the first part, then fast to 95%, then 3/4 amps enter until the end of the charge.

Maybe the BMS is not working as it should?
Do you know if the BMS is active or passive as a management method.
