Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon

It wasn't just the flight I had a problem with it was the combat as well. Was I meant to play this with a controller?

Because using m/k it was awful.

You spam the two mouse buttons to fire your hand guns and then you have to stop moving to press q and e to fire the weapons on your shoulders.

I just found it boring to be honest.

This is probably only the second game I have ever given up on.
Yes its heavily designed around a controller. You can use mouse and keyboard and have a benefit of been able to free aim a lot easier without lock on but i would recommend remapping the q and e to side mouse buttons for example if you do that.

Ok so the game is better with a controller?

Maybe once I'm done with Silent Hill 2 I'll give it an other go with a controller this time just so I didn't waste my money on a game I only half played.
The game was designed for controller as you are supposed to fire all 4 weapons simultaneously which is a lot easier with the controller.

Check which type of reactor/power source you are using. Some of them are slow to regenerate, others are fast and you get energy penalties depending on how heavy you are (if memory serves me right). Then pair it with a booster. Do note that boosters have a max weight before they become less effective.

Energy is your stamina and you need to learn how to manage it how to make a build that maximises it.

Something to note depleting your energy fully takes longer to recharge than saving a small amount at the end and then letting it recharge by not using it. There is only one reactor where that is not true and is designed to be completely depleted.
