Davanti Alltoura tyres? Any good?

My Passat came with Cross climates all round... Not sure they're necessary in the east midlands but I can't complain about them.
Do you take an MPG hit with all season tyres?
Cross climates are quite 'summer biased' whilst still reasonably competent in snow - the mpg impact would be truly negligible vs a summer tyre of similar performance.

I do have Sport Contact 7's (as of this morning) on my Cayman, replacing Michelin Pilot Sport 4S - however I won't be reaching for that set of keys when there is pants weather.
Drop a review in the tyre thread when you have some miles on them.
I'm torn between those two tyres for the Mustang.

Good info, the front two are at about 4mm and whilst I won’t be replacing them immediately I have looked around at alternatives. Are Rainsports still highly regarded?

To be honest depending on what opinions you read the difference between Michelin Pilot Sport, Contisport Contact and Goodyear Eagle F1 is very much marginal and often quite subjective, with maybe tiny differences in generations. All 3 are all great tyres so well done at looking at them and just choose whatever is more easily avaliable as you are at risk of overthinking things.

Bit of a bump...

What's the general verdict on Davanti brand tyres for normal (not sports or high performance)? The OG Bridgestone fronts on the Yaris are down to about 3.5mm so will need replacing in the next three or four months.

Tyre place near us advertises them as their main brand, but depending where you look on a Google search they are either dismissed as generic Chinese ditchfinders or a reasonable mid price tyye.

The other option I'm looking at is Yokohama which seems to fare better if you belive what you read on the internet.

I'd go Yokohama over Davanti every day.

Davanti are Chinese ditchfinders. None of these cheapo tyres grip in the wet and can be dangrous tbh. Don't fall for the marketing.

Yokohama are Japanese and actually good. They were the OEM brand on the Elise.

When I bought my Edition 30 it had Yoko's on them. I swapped them sharpish for PS4's and the difference was night and day. Same when I got my Clio 197. It had Toyo's and swapped them for PS4's, and again, difference was night and day. Much better with better rubber every time. That said they were performance cars bought to be driven how they were inteded.

With that said, many years ago I put Vredstein Sessanta's on my 335d (these are now superceded by a different model, probably twice) and they were great. So I'm not fully against mid-range tyres. Also bought a new set of whees for the Caravelle and it's now on Khumo PS71's. And they are decent enough. Initial reviews of the new PS72's do look great though, so wouldn't be adverse to them if the budget was tight. That said, I need tyres for my A8, so I'm going to replace the Caravelles tyres with Goodyear Eagle Assymetric 5's (brand new for this tyre size), and put the 71's on the A8 as it doesn;t do nearly as many miles.
