A few years ago our LG finally gave up the ghost and I bought a toshiba to tie us over for a couple of years until the OLEDs came down in price, it was only £290 from Costco for a 55"

I recently got my little en a 40" Hisense one for his bedroom and i was blown away by the picture quality far far superior to that of my crappy Toshiba.

Only bought it because the old LG 3D TV in the kitchen finally dropped support for Netflix and the OH likes to watch her stuff out there now and then.

And have to say I was amazed at how good the picture quality is, the ease of setup and didn't realise Freesat can be used directly (I had a Humax box in case) + has Freely built in + Alexa.
Nice little touch with the screen closing in from the edges on shutdown, like seen on the old Bang & Olufsen's

For £279 for a 50in for the kitchen I am very impressed.

Thanks for the link, I think ill pick up the 55" version at £309 that is an absolute bargain!

I ended up with E7 for the kitchen at £339, was going to get the U6 mini-led but i missed the £449 deal.

Not sure i'd buy one as a main TV but PQ if more than good enough for a kitchen or bedroom.

My dad needed a new TV so got him one, we don't do holidays/birthday etc so this is just a "thanks for being my dad gift"

Hisense U7K 85 inch just over 1k (he chose it after taking a trip to Currys) then arguing about price with a manager with price matching etc.. It's a mini led and from someone who has only used plasma then oled it's pretty darn good the dimming is excellent overall to my eye. I set it the way I would loaded some proper 4K HDR content and was overall impressed

He has a LG B1 this replaced that has some anoyying burn in due to what he watches on it so mini led was a good choice :)
