What a good performance from Luke, glad he won that fairly comfortably in the end. His clinical double finishing won him that match, something none of us probably saw coming.
Doing it over 30 years is a much harder challenge; I'm not saying he couldn't do it, but no one else has got close to Taylor and the standard is probably significantly higher on average than in his day (among the mid to lower ranked players at least).
All the best players are now in the PDC, that wasn't the case with the split into two rival codes in the 1990s.
Still not as good as the Premier League though I think for atmosphere. Just glad that Littler has now won the biggest major of them all. Will be a huge pressure lifted from his shoulders going forward.
Looking forward to the Premier League and the Euro Tours ahead in 2025 now.
Ryan Joyce really tested Littler, unreal on his doubles, hope joyce can win something this year, I think the Joyce game drove Luke Littler to be a tough force in his last 3 games
