Which old games are still fun to play now?

I miss mid-market flight sims like that... not full sims, but not arcade games.
DCS Flaming Cliffs aka DCS FC2024 is exactly that https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/products/planes/flaming_cliffs_2024/
You get the "turn the plane on with 2 button presses" mid-sim level of complexity, but full also fidelity flight physics. DCS is known for its study sim level modules, but FC is their (somewhat) hidden and undermarketed gem.
PS And it's on sale atm :) https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/bundles/

I will be playing " Crysis " for the first time. I know back in the day everyone went on about it. Remastered is £3.70 so thought I would give it a go.

I used to play hidden and dangerous 1 a lot back in the day it's was amazing coop fun, you have actually given me an idea to try hidden and dangerous 2 now.

Another old game i have in my steam library is shenmue 1 and 2 it was really good for its time not sure if I'll be able to get into it now though

Don't play the remastered version, it's a remaster of the not so great console port. Some of the levels the consoles couldn't run and were removed and not readded.

it is available on pc however it was not as good on pc as on the Amiga so I just use winUAE to emulate the Amiga and play the "proper" ;) version.

this is interesting. Where do you get the games? and what Amiga version do you use with WinUAE? Have never tried an Amiga emulator, is WinUAE the best?

winUAE is the best (only? not sure but just use winUAE) emulator.....

as for where you get the games... that is a big no no on here sorry it will get me banned however a quick google should help. i have not acquired any roms for years but it was dead easy at the time (of games i own of course).
