All relative to your income I suppose, from the perspective of someone earning at best a middle income, £2k is still frankly laughable as an outlay on a hobby which for me at least, PC gaming once was.To tell you the truth i can't even think of one thing i could drop 2k on to improve my life
600k yes i could buy my own place, But what can you do with only 2kapart from buy a new bed or sofa
Have I ever owned a GPU that's given me memories worth remembering? No.
£2K buys many pleasurable things, I'm sure not many people look back with fondness towards for example their 780ti or whatever, whereas a nice holiday or similar for £2k can leave lasting memories...

I'm an enthusiast, a hobbyist of PC gaming and have been for longer than I care to remember.
I recall fondly the times when you could bag a high end card for a few hundred quid, even allowing for inflation the equation today is vastly off.
You imply my life isn't fulfilled, in actuality, my life is extremely full, so much so, I have no time for PC gaming (arguably why I still have my 1080ti) there's so many other things that I barely find the time to do before gaming even comes into the equation.
If I was to think about it , I'd probably conclude my life was by far less fulfilled when it was consumed by frame rates , gaming time etc as it indeed once was.

This thread was made so those who got one of the new GPUs could come here and show it off along with other people who managed to get one.
You came in here and started telling people to 'give their head a wobble' for spending £2k on a GPU...
Why post in here at all if that's what you plan to do?
Just because you don't want to spend £2k on a GPU doesn't mean other people should be berated for doing it.
Most people work hard for their money and they can spend it on whatever they please.
Personally I really like these 'show off you xxxx' threads. They're normally really positive, full of people happy with their purchase and proudly posting pics of their setup.

Be fair, he's hardly berating people. I get what you mean about liking to see the new hardware everyone here gets, I like seeing that too.
But you have to admit, this thread had to be started when the new cards came out, it's hardly surprising that people are posting who haven't got a new card because there are virtually NO cards available!

There's a lot people on these forums who don't play games, but are totally happy with their GPUs
. It's baffling to me that they're here telling everyone about it.There was even a guy with a gtx 970, going on about how the new gen isn't worth it and he's not buying. I mean no **** sherlock? You have a gtx 970, even an RX 6600 is twice as fast

I get it! The one additional fan on the Astral is the deal breaker for a standard Lian Li O11XL fan set up. I don't even have a push/pull configuration for the AIO fans.Holy heck, did you really need the Astral with all of those fans?

The build quality on the Astral is the best I have seen, bar none but it is also the loudest GPU I have ever come in contact with. Apparently, Asus will be adjusting the fan curve via an update.
