Samsung Galaxy S25 Family Thread

I'm sticking with my S23 Ultra for now but about a week ago I noticed an offer on the intranet at work for the S25 series. Total price for an S25 Ultra (512gb) after discount... £811.

Fingers crossed something similar exists next year.

Just picked up my 256gb S25 in Navy blue and Buds3 for £350 with work discount and S22 trade in, I'm guessing my old S22 charger should work fine considering they're both 25w?

Still waiting for the review email myself for the ultra so if anyone can post it...
I think the email and review is unique to the customer so you would have to wait for the email.
I haven't received my review email yet and received the phone 02/02.

Just tried to connect my S25 to my car for Android Auto, didn't work. I'll have to keep my A34 for Android Auto duties. My car is from 2019 so I suspected there might be problems.

Works fine for me.
What car have you got and how old? This is the message I get...

I've connected my A34 back and it works fine. Fully restored the head unit to factory settings before I started to get rid of the A34, then connected S25 by Bluetooth and plugged it into the USB port, got the above message.

So I've factory restored it again and reconnected my A34.

2018 astra.
Right I've made some progress, noticed when I plug my S25 into my PCs USB port with an adapter sometimes it doesn't work and I have to swap the adapter around. So plugged it into PC so I had a good connection then went down to car and tried again.

Now its loading Android Auto but I'm having problems with location services, it won't show the maps. I've downloaded an offline map but am going to take it out for a drive and see if that works.

Are you able to reset the head unit? I'm fairly sure the sending device (the phone) is the only thing that requires updates etc but I've had my car behave weirdly.. reset my phone, tried a new one etc and eventually it turned out the head unit needed a reset and it was fine.

Yeah I’m resetting the head unit to get rid of each phone from the settings before attempting to connect a different phone. Strange thing is it’s saying it needs location services but that’s enabled. I’m parked in an underground car park though so can’t get a GPS fix.

I’m hoping once I drive out it will get a fix and show the map.

Here is my take on the S25 Ultra coming from the S24 Ultra after 1 week.

The S24U was a great device & never let me down once. But for me it was just too uncomfortable to hold for a long period of time. Once I got the Pixel 9 Pro XL I never used the S24U again.

The S25U is so much more comfortable to hold. It feels better due to the flat sides & curved corners.

As for performance it is excellent. Hasn’t missed a beat so far. Camera is excellent for what I use it for. The screen is so much better than the S24U, it’s clearer & sharper. I don’t game or care about benchmarking.

Is it an upgrade, for me yes. So far I am glad I got the S25U I didn’t use much AI on the S24U & that hasn’t changed.

I hope to enjoy the S25U as much as I did the S23U.

For me, reviewers & some forum users bellyaching about it not being an upgrade are wrong for the reasons I have stated. If you have an S24U & are happy fine keep it it’s a great device. For me it was a pain to use & happy to see the back of it.

If you have the S24U & wonder if it’s worth getting the S25U I’d say, yes go for it.

What's your take on it?
