yeah, you expect to see this behaviour on the bay, not on official official resellers and Nvidia partners, demand does raise prices but not a that level I mean I cant see justification to add another £500 just because you know someone will be happy to cough up, but this practice of restricting goods to increase prices is widely abused not just on GPU's but mostly everything from cars to electronics and even foods. The only people that can stop this is the government's but they wont stop it because the more it sells for the more they get too.

Just got my 5090 full build with the 5090 trio. The card came set to the silent bios and not the gaming bios. Is there any benefit switching it to the gaming bios performance wise?

Get yourself on a discord stock alert group and use the hotstock app to be notified of card drops , I could have had a Msi Game Trio at £2500 numerous times but as i already had a preorder in place didn't bother with them . No need to overpay just need to be patient and be ready when you get notifications.

Is the Palit that bad? I ended up buying it but my goal is to eventually get a 5090FE simply because it's £2k. I reckon I should be able to sell the Palit for the same price I bought it for, or even a bit less if its value tanks.

It will probably perform better on the gaming bios, but you won't be able to tell without an FPS counter. It's probably worth giving it a try to see if the increased fan speed on the gaming bios bothers you or not.

The Palit isnt a bad card, it's just that it meant to be around 100 over FE not 600.
