*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

All with large pinches of salt remember, Just some random internet guy who claims to be able to get these results through a reviewer friend in Spain. He also posted about the 5080 only being about 10% faster than a 4080 last year but got slated in the NVidia subreddit but here we are.
The info leak regards to the delay when someone contacted a retailer was 100 percent current though.

Some more information from the same person I posted about before. This person claims to be in close contact with someone who has access to 9070 and 9070XT for reviews:

PATH TRACING in 4K the 9070XT got 10FPS and the 9070 got 8 FPS (5080 scored 15FPS and 5070Ti got 12FPS)

Here you go, some numbers from a review sample ;) OCing takes it to 5080 levels, but you can also overclock the 5080, that's true :)

One could almost trick himself into believing this if not for the PT numbers which are pure BS. There's just not enough hopium in the universe for that.

How likely is it retailers will engage the scalp thrusters as well do we think?

I reckon it is odds on. Even if supply is good.

The PT numbers look about right, with the 5080 being about 50% better at PT than the 9070XT. RT is where they've improved significantly.

Cyberpunk 2077 (custom scene, 4K, no RT)

9070XT = 63FPS avg, 9070 = 52FPS avg (5070Ti scored 60FPS, 5080 scored 69FPS)

Alan Wake 2 (4K, no RT, custom scene)

9070XT = 59FPS, 9070 = 48FPS (5070Ti scored 55 FPS, 5080 scored 63FPS)

And now for RT... Cyberpunk 2077 RT Ultra in 4K (custom scene)

9070XT gets 28FPS (no upscaling!) and 9070 gets 21FPS (5080 scored 33 FPS, 5070TI scored 29FPS)

PATH TRACING in 4K the 9070XT got 10FPS and the 9070 got 8 FPS (5080 scored 15FPS and 5070Ti got 12FPS)

Overall, with final data I gathered... 9070XT is a replacement to the XTX in raster, much better RT, losing some VRAM, but it didn't matter in testing for now... You get FSR4 and RT is just leagues ahead, it's a tier ahead of the XTX.

Edit, They have also stated prices have been discussed with a retailer and going for $549/$649 as per my previous post on this.
So, like you say and we've been saying for two months now... A 4080 or 7900 XTX with better RT. I know it's just random internet rumors, but it tracks closely with 2-3 othere "leaks" on peformance. I'm relatively sold if they hit £700 actual honest for friggin God street price. If it's £800 street, take a walk.

I was set on a 5090, but with all that's happening on that side with supply, intentional shipping of defective chips, atrocious prices, fire hazards... I've got a real bad taste. First time in probably 25 years I won't be going creme-de-la-creme for a generation.

Nice but still mid range now we okay with £700+
I see your point. But if that's the real, actual retail price for a 9070 xt, it's still starting £300 lower for the same tier performance (with much better RT) than we got 2.5 years ago. £600 would be boss, but in this distopian world of flat (or degraded) price/performance improvements, £700 (again, actual retail price) is A-ok with me.

£300 lower than a card that was considered way overpriced 2 years ago and hasn’t really sold well at the £750-800 price that it’s been for the past year.
