I have Palit 5090 comming today from OC. Have TUF on pre order from other place. Not sure if there is much difference between them? Going to put a water block on when available anyway. Just have always had Asus. What do you think?
(Also ordered an amp tester so I dont need the Astral lol).
Have a feeling some of them try their luck and if they don't sell, they make it look like they did and then put it up for sale a few days later for a lower amount.
Not sure about the legality of this and hard to prove, but there will definitely be shady practices going on.

Asus will probably get a water block first? But I don't think you can go wrong with either if you are not planning on using the cooler long term. Maybe see how the coil whine or lack of (hopefully) is and make that the final decision, as that will likely carry over.
Thanks for advice. Yes, good point, one review said no obvious coil whine, another 6/10...been lucky so for I think in recent years anyway, not hearing anything over general background noise.
I have Alphacool TUF block on pre order, but no dates yet. I do like the look of the Heatkiller ones for Palit thought...but no pre orders as you suspect.
If you're putting a block on the only difference is the Palit has 575w bios and the TUF has 600w.
Once some palit oc editions are in the wild, you'll be able to flash the 600w bios.
I'm personally going for the Palit and will be throwing a Heatkiller block on it and will flash it with the oc bios once someone has upload to tpu. Block is due to ship 18/03.
Cool, thanks for that, sounds like a plan. I ll try and find website for that 18/3, unless you can DM me if not OC, which I see is on pre order and happy to do if reasonable timeframe. Was researching the bios last night. But will come back here for advice for 'walkthrough'/advice. If no whine, then I think you have helped me decide.

Won't let me dm. I ordered direct from the company that makes the Heatkiller blocks in Germany. There will be customs charges on top.

It has 12VHPWR monitoring so you can see your card is about to catch fire just before it catches fire.

Well they managed to sell the 5090's @ 3499.
Don't think so - I was checking that every few minutes to see if they'd sold. They both vanished at the same time. I suspect they were taken off sale when the competitor realised nobody was biting.
They keep taking them off sale then putting them on again hoping somebody bites

For a few minutes? I don't think any retailer is that price reactive.
See the Trio (one I want) is been sold at 2850. It's a no from me.
They'd been up for well over an hour.

I'd have thought a few days before anyone lowered tbh. Only a few retailers seemed concerned with their reputation.
Saw those. Obscene, egregious price.

And more importantly what makes you think the verified customers are not scalping it. Whether some bot is hoovering it up or some forum member getting it from Ocuk and then slinging it on Ebay/marketplace whatever. They may be verified for these forums but that doesn't change the fact.
I need an Astral to complete my collection
