Just to +1 this, I had one fail on me today.

Bought some a while back for my custom watercooling build the reason being that they felt tight when fitted, no movement in fact I changed all my other fittings after that.

Are they the same fittings but from barrow? If so thry will all he made in the same place and have just as many defects as each other. I'd just get the ones you dont adjust.

I'm curious as to how, did you tighten it down a lot or did it just let go from normal pressure? Looks like it sheared off.

That's unfortunately how they go, doesn't need any pressure at all, you tighten them down by hand and they leak, so you nick them up with an Allen key and they shear off like that.

This was when I was removing it.

I tightened it with EK’s plastic tool, which *should* prevent over tightening.

Just to +1 this, I had one fail on me today.

I bought some EK spacers for my loop (hard tubing), smaller than a fitting. Started to use the allen key and what happened, broke just like yours. EK hard tube fittings and barbs are ok, but anything else, nope. Hope you get some better fitting for your loop.
