Well...there is clearly a bit of a £40-£50 premium tagged on them compared to the RRP.
Well they cant blame low stock levels this time, so that eliminates the regularly trotted out "supply and demand" excuse for over the top pricing.
They are just anticipating the FOMO buzz.
I'm going to take a step back and wait for the potential silliness to calm down and pick one up in a couple of months.

Just remember that AMD are quick to drop prices, they also need gaming sales unlike Nvidia.
Half the reason to get one is to not pay Nvidia’s rip off pricing so it defeats the object if you end up being ripped off on AMD.
We must not forget about the exchange rate![]()
Depends if people buy them at inflated prices and continue to do so.Maybe, but I think it's unlikely they will drop the 9070xt price anytime soon.

AMD need to win market share and they won’t do that if prices are unrealistic vs MSRP as people will wait for the 5070ti to hit MSRP.
I think MSRP will hold for the 9070XT but I’m expecting the 9070 to drop to around £500I meant drop the MSRP.
[price per unit].[number in stock]This is what it currently looks like on the OCuk store for XT cards. Just move the decimal point to the left once...
Plus vat..The 9070xt should be no more than £499 if going off MSRP
Not bad for a mid level card?Thats not bad pricing really if true
eople will never be happy, if they came in at £300 someone would come on here and say it should be £250.
Personally I think it would be better if the actual price were between £550 and £600. And assuming normal course of things that probably will happen during sales next year. But the markets are completely F'd at the moment, and show no signs of changing. With that in mind these prices are fine, certainly good enough to eat nvidias cake.
I hope they stay at this level for a while, I have an awful feeling that after the first wave sell through the price will creep up.
I'd argue upper mid level card since the 5070 is what I'd call mid but still yes it's fine pricing, I'm under no assumption I'll ever get a 70 class card for under £300 againNot bad for a mid level card?
