*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

I had a Vega56 Pulse. Never used it, seemingly didn't get on with my motherboard. Had a FuryX that didn't get along with that motherboard too. Oddly I had another FuryX that seemed to work better in the board and Nvidia cards seemed fine.
All the faff I went through with that put me off Sapphire Pulses. Although I did buy a 7900XT Pulse. Not a fan of that one either. Might mix it up and get a Pure this time!
Jesus thats some rotten luck.

Because you know 100% for sure that the "10x prices" are the final prices that the cards will be sold at? Even with the 5090 launch the placeholder prices were being adjusted both up and down right up until the last second
Saw a post just that a retailer has shown the price of the asus tuf and it was 799.

I would say now its pretty obvious its 10x pricing

well its a direct 5070 competitor they are starting to be listed £629-£700+ so that shuts the £549 myth down with all the FE cards being recalled you still run the ROP gauntlet on 3rd party cards and risk 20-25% less performance

£40 ?!!! Jeez had to check the year .... It's certainly not 2012
These days we're looking at a difference of at least £100
Ouch, I paid £20 more for my 6600XT Nitro+ verses the Pulse from OCUK upon launch, seemed worth it given the extra features, I know these are more expensive models but £100......

This is the same nonsense the retailers, including here, peddled when the GTX 1000 series launched and UK pricing was terrible. I was the only one complaining about the poor pricing and that buying at those prices, just gave all in the supply chain confidence, that consumers are capable of being rinsed for more. Now look where we are... rinse and repeat. This whole generation is the pre-scalped generation. What a load of tosh.

Now read my post again, because I was not making excuses and asking a question. I stated that it should be pretty much like for like in USD to GBP and that I’m OK with retailers making a profit, but that what we saw with the 5000 was unacceptable.

I was just thinking that with all the 12-pin connector issues people were mentioning how over-specced the 8-pin cables are. Which contributed to my thinking.
However after having a Thermaltake PSU go pop on me I've rendered to go for manufacturers with better reputations (Corsair, EVGA, Superflower).
the issue isn't with the 12pin the issue is with the socket on the other end only having 1 resistor and pulling uneven load and not being able to detect it

It will be £569 for a limited quantity as AMD is aware resellers had some stock land on a 1.23 rate and paid for.

I'm happy to admit I'm wrong and you were right Armageus. But like Gibbo said, it's only a small quantity. Given how terrible my luck has been with everything else in life recently, what are the real chances I'll win the GPU lottery to score an MSRP Pulse? Maybe will have to be a competitor if not here at OCUK.
