*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

They’ve failed miserably on pretty much every release in the past ~5 or 6 years. Admittedly some of that has been down to supply issues but their website falling over on a gpu launch is pretty much a given now.
on the plus side all the prices have been ok ish even when they went up other sites who will remain nameless are pricing in the 700's

Though, lets all have a moment of silence.

For the 8 people who bought the 7900XT by mistake
And the 10+ people who bought the XTX at 950.
Oh, and the 5 people who bought the 7800xt and not the STILL IN STOCK 9070 for £25 more.

May they be failed scalpers and not honest buyers.

AMD gave a £50 rebate, but it is also upto the AIB partners to make RRP cards too. Some partners didn't bother.

It's no surprise the Sapphire and Powercolor cards had the most RRP stock because they were clearly made to fit a lower price point.
Point still stands that I doubt very much AMD would say £50 off for the first 10 ASROCK cards, rest will be msrp. Even if that was the case, £50 initial discount does not equate to a later (within a couple of hours) £80 increase in the world I live in. Shouldn't it be £619 if it truly was a £50 temp discount on the first 10 cards? Where did that £80-£50=£30 go?

There might be a certain amount of total UK stock which is allocated for the rebate?

Seems I managed to get a 9070XT Nitro+ as I've just had a despatch notification and tracking with an estimated delivery tomorrow:D

Press X for doubt.

Mostly because Gibbo said they were arriving next week...

Ill be ****** if they are as i've missed the cut off for delivery tomorrow now.

I'm gonna keep checking thoughout the evening and see if more MRSP cards are unleashed (not sure if he's released all batches yet) if not ill get the Nitro X myself.

And then you look at the non XT versions and it's literally less than 500 for the cheapest and in double digits for others.
Not sure where you saw this, that posted screenshot of OCUK showed about £530.
Saw Sapphire Pulse 9070 non XT at £524.99 so went down a little?
I.e. this.

Overclockers is an absolute crap show. Only website that has consistently crashed!
I've heard worse things elsewhere.

OCUK have mentioned they will do some additional MSRP drops

Mind you they said they expected the stock to last for days
Depends how they did it really
I honestly wouldn't count this out. I remember back during Nov 2023, they did a cracking deal on the 7800X3D CPU. I managed to nab one myself when they did it. Obviously it went back up and some folks weren't happy. But surprisingly, Gibbo was nice enough to later repeat the offer for a while longer.

I also recall during 5090/5080 launch, the GPUs were being drip-fed, showing as out of stock and in stock intermittently here on OCUK. Prices also changing too, going up and down.

On that note, I'm hoping folks have a chance to get one. There's a post above where someone mentioned they got something 30mins ago, so there surely must be a chance.

Asrock did the discount Gibbo explained all this at the start

I ended up ordering from elsewhere for a little more than OCUK delivered price as I couldnt get anywhere near the OCUK website which seems like a common theme.

Just have to wait and see if it does turn up tomorrow.

Good luck with your search.

Fake msrp is such a scam. State of the gpu market. Imagine if ps6 launched at X and then in small print (first 1000 units alone), Sony would get slaughted, but it's just a normal day in gpu land
You've got Nvidia the monopoly and AMD whose there to give the illusion of competition but is really just piggybacking off Nvidia.

5070/9070/9070XT/5070ti are all 60 class cards being sold at double the price.

I wonder if it's possible for people to place orders via phone? For situations/places where websites are broken?
I.e. is there other ways of ordering these GPUs?

Were there folks queueing up at the physical OCUK store today...

Ah that makes sense fair, never assume, enjoy the card, and let me know what it's like i'm likely to get that model myself if i can't get an MRSP one.

They really aren't. Impatient people are the problem.

Well they sort of are contributing to it. There could have been an FE model for the RTX5070TI and loads of RRP stock.

The same goes with the RTX5070 - no FE for weeks and hard to say how much stock there will be.

There is also the question of how much Nvidia or AMD are charging the AIB partners for critical parts like the GPU.

As much as this launch as annoyed me,at least there was some cards at RRP at launch even if it wasn't enough.

what a load of pish. Its the only thing ive been looking forward to in ages...
Yeah, in a way this felt worse than the Nvidia launch because I knew I didn't have a chance at getting an Nvidia card at launch but I had a small amount of hope that I might get a 9070XT and seeing/feeling that hope get eroded was somewhat unpleasant.
