Mrs TB bought herself a 10x8 potting shed which meant moving a small lean to greenhouse thing

Then as it was casting too much shade where she wanted the shed it needed pruning back

Was hoping to have got the felt on before finishing up they hadnt set any felt nails :(

Cleated up and popped everything for tomorrow in the shed and took a trip to B&Q for the nails so I can crack on tomorrow

Went outside and sprayed weed killer on the various things that have sprouted up over the winter. Tempted to get someone in to turn the entire lawn over and start from scratch. There are a couple of tree stumps that need removing and it's all not very flat...
 
So I think we've settled on the colour of cornflour white (ie a white with hint of blue) for the stairs and landing after applying a set of colour tests. I did manage to re-teak the late father-in-law's bench and almost complete the pond filter motor ready for fit. Also cleaned the bedroom bay window.

It means I now have my work cut out starting Monday:
* paint the bay window in the bedroom
* sugar soap, repaint (same colours) of the bathroom
* fill/smooth sanding, sugar soap, paint the upstairs landing, stairs and downstairs reception area
* clean, smooth down the garage car door, repaint
* clean and then repaint the garage woodwork and person door.
* paint fence (12 panels)
* scarify lawn
* weed front garden
* finish the pond filter repair (the internal motor failed and I now have an external solution).
* repair frost damage to tiles on the pond
* cut back some tree/bushes
* fix leaking conservatory gutter
* I have a feeling I'll also be repainting the conservatory too.

We had 3 of our fence posts loosened by Storm Éowyn back in January (we were in a Red Warning area) and the affected area of fencing was listing about 20 degrees away from the garden.

I started digging around the fence posts yesterday only to find the bloody gypo cowboy fencers had only half surrounded each post with concrete. And the side not concreted was the downwind side, making the fence easy pickings for Éowyn.

So off I went down to B&Q for it opening this morning, and 6 bags of postcrete later, all 3 posts are 'standing proud' again :D

First mow of the year. Did some weeding too and ripped out a bit of rotten fence.

Going to replace a load of fencing this year. It’s so old and just doesn’t take paint properly anymore.
Going to pay someone to do it as I simple can’t be arsed.

Well that was a few hours but 2 fence panels painted *wahoo*
 
Built the 6 draw Malm unit and found an easy access to under the floor on the bedroom chimney breast, which will make rewiring much easier.
 
Small DIY job today,

The Mrs wanted more garden storage and I was fed up of all the junk taking up room in my shed..

So as B&Q had a sale the other week, I managed to get their 2020L Keter storage unit at an OK price, so put that together this morning and then built a platform to allow more stuff to be piled in:
I've just used interior CLS/MDF, but 2 coats of preservative, which seems to be working really well on my shed and pizza oven cart, so hopefully will be OK!

And here it is next to my stealth robot mower garage made from one of the smaller Keter signature storage units, that has robot mower and all the lawn tools in as well (scarifier, cassettes etc). The 2020L storage unit will have larger garden tools underneath, a small backup electric lawnmower, strimmer etc, then on top, bagged up cushions, and general gardening stuff.

Bit of fettling to do on the doors. Gutters to buy / fit (why I've left the felt unfinished to lap into the gutterS. Also a bit of the floor to screw down where a.botmof movement.

Then Mrs TB wants an internal stud wall building to create a store area at the back,.power and lighting and move all the shizzle she wants in there from the greenhouse and garage

I did this a couple of weeks ago - but the more I fixed, the more that I found were dodgy. Ended up putting 7 new posts in and fixing up every single other posts. Backbreaking work - but worth it in the end

It is great for practice and when the weather is not allowing you out.
Pretty much the same with rowing machines, cycle trainers and the like.

Or you just have to play 24/7

Pro's of a golf sim in your home:
- A round of golf takes 45 mins instead of 4 hours
- You can play any course in the world pretty much!
- Can play golf even if the weather outside is crap!
- Fun with mates, especially when beers are involved!
- Great practice drills and you can get crazy amount of stats on your shots
- Can also be used as a massive screen to watch sports! (150 inch)
